The Kansas Department of Revenue has published new county-by-county thematic maps detailing the existence or use of aerial photography, GIS, parcel maps, elevation data, etc. online: http://www.ksrevenue.org/pvdthmaps.htm on July 8th, 2009. The maps are in PDF format. Kansas State Libraries - Government Documents/Maps Library is building an archive of historical aerial photography. Available files will be referenced in DASC's online catalog at a future date. The Kansas Adjutant General's Department is extending an invitation to GIS professionals to join the Kansas GIS Response Team (PDF). 2008 FSA NAIP - Aerial imagery of Kansas is now available. The Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC) endorsed the Geographic Information Framework Data Standard in May 2008. The Kansas Water Office has published the final Kansas Water Utility Data Standard. New documentation: Guidelines for Acquiring Aerial Imagery and Digital Color Orthoimagery Scope of Work template.
